Dandadan anime may lose it’s audience due to the negative fame spreading across the fandom after the finale episode. The last episode ended abruptly with a strange and weird cliffhanger which left the audience with numerous questions and mixed feelings towards it. This can possibly create negative Impact on the Anime’s upcoming seasons.
SUMMARY
Dandadan anime is now a quite popular among the anime fans. It made it’s first season’s debut in October 2024. Despite being aired among many much-anticipated sequels of popular series like Dragon Ball, Re:Zero, and Mushoku Tensei, it still managed to gain immense popularity and emerged it’s name in the previous year. The first season was undoubtfully a successful hit.
Ending of the final episode
The first eleven episodes of the anime were top-notch and well-written but the ending of the final episode gave us a heartfelt cliffhanger to it’s audience which made some fans interested in the story while others didn’t find it appropriate.
Except for the upset ending of Dandadan, the whole season was 10 on 10. is now dividing the fandom.
Cliffhangers are of-course important to keep fans waiting for the next sequel but for Dandadan, this somehow didn’t come up entirely true. It is now dividing the fandom. Some are supporting it while others are criticizing it.
Chaotic duo of Momo and Okarun
Dandadan anime succeed to attract it’s audience because of it’s different plot with interesting characters that covers a wide range of elements such as humour, action, romance. The chaotic duo of Momo and Okarun is very much liked by the audience due to their comedic mooments and lovely chemistry which fueled the plot of the anime. Jiji, which is a completely new character was introduced in the first season in the last episodes of the anime. He is Momo’s childhood friend and crush who is now living in Momo’s house. He is expected to come in between the romance of Momo and Okarun, giving rise to a love triangle.
Dandadan’s cliffhanger
Momo, Okarun and Jiji started a new adventure in the last episode. The trio went for examining Jiji’s house in order to exorcise the evil spirit. This led to encounter of two new mysteries. In the last scene, Momo is surrounded by pervert old men in the hot bath. Meanwhile Okarun and Jiji are startled to understand the horrific scenery in front of them. This ending does not seem justified which tensed the audience.
However, the true fans of the series who want to know the upcoming twist would definitely catch up with the story as soon as the second season will come out. But the final scene with Momo was a bit off-putting and leaving it at that might turn some fans against the series, as it leaves them with the most questionable aspect of the anime.
Jiji in Dandadan anime
Jiji, seems to be an important character in the upcoming arc. He may even come up as a threat to Okarun and Momo. Fans who don’t like Jiji third wheeling in the main couple, might give up on the anime altogether.
All these reasons are quite concerning which point out that the anime might lose it’s number of viewers. Soon Dandadan will be back to entertain the audience with it’s season 2. The saving grace that instills some confidence
For the whole 3 months of it’s airing, it managed to secure it’s top place. The anime has succeed to make the audience love their favorite duo. We all hope that the second season turn out to be even more interesting with plot twists to keep hold on it’s audience.

Second season release date
With the ending episode, the anime announced it’s upcoming come back in the second season. it is expected to come back in July 2025. Fans are looking forward to it. However the gap between the absurd cliffhanger and the release of next season is not that long. It may cover up the doots in between recovering it’s fan by standing higher as expected. Dandadan may still manage to get hit again with a banger second season.
