Imu First Real Fight and a Hidden Clue

We’ve waited years to see what Imu is truly capable of. And now, in Elbaf  of all places  she shows up by possessing Gunko, a powerful giant, and begins her assault using terrifying dark magic.

But amid the chaos, one thing stood out: a symbol  a magic circle with the words Eris D. Tar. written inside.

Now, for most stories, this might be brushed off as just a name. But this is One Piece and when a character has the D. initial, we know it means something deep. Something ancient. Something that connects to the very roots of the world.

So, who is this Eris D. Tar? And why is her name connected to Imu?

Theory 1: Is This Imu Real Name?

Some fans believe what we saw was a reveal of Imu true identity  that her full name is Eris D. Tar.That changes everything.

Think about it: the leader of the World Government  the same one that hunted and erased the D. Clan for centuries  is actually a D. herself?

It would make her the ultimate traitor, or perhaps the most tragic. Someone who once was one of them, but turned. Betrayed the Will of D. And rose to power. And the name Eri? That not random either. In mythology, Eris is the goddess of chaos. She literally started the Trojan War by throwing the Apple of Discord. So what if Eris D. Tar is the one who started the original war in the Void Century? That would make her the perfect opposite to Luffy, the Sun God Nika  bringer of freedom, laughter, and joy. It all lines up too well.

Theory 2: Eris is a Spirit Not a Name

Here another thought. What if Eris D. Tar is not Imu name… but the name of the dark entity she using? What if Imu is actually channeling someone or something ancient?Like Joy Boy was a title, maybe Eris is too  or a soul that Imu merged with, traded for power, or became possessed by. That would explain why Imu has body possession abilities, and why her magic feels so demonic  like with Domi Reversi, where she turns people into literal demons.

It would also explain how she survived for centuries  by jumping from body to body.

Theory 3: Is This All Connected to Nefertari Lily?

Let not forget what was revealed during the Reverie arc.

Nefertari D. Lily, Vivi ancestor, was one of the original 20 founders of the World Government  but she disappeared. She refused to become a Celestial Dragon and never returned home. Some fans now believe… Imu is Lily. Or is using Lily body.

What if Lily, a D. herself, was once a hero trying to protect the truth  but was ultimately corrupted, possessed, or twisted into the tyrant that became Imu? That would explain why she knows so much about the Poneglyphs. Why she scattered them. Why she was erased from history. And now through Gunko, we may have seen the first sign of her name re-emerging.

Tar and the Tartarus Theory

The last part of the name  Tar  might seem meaningless, but fans are reading deep. Some say it could be short for Tartarus  the ancient abyss in Greek mythology where the gods imprisoned the Titans. And honestly? That sounds a lot like Imu role.

Think about it  the World Government has always been portrayed as a prisoner of history, trying to hide the truth, lock away knowledge, and erase anything that might reveal the Void Century. Maybe Imu is that abyss  or the one who controls it.

Eris D. Tar could be:

 Imu real name.

 1. A demonic being that gives her powers.

 2. A corrupted version of Nefertari Lily.

 3. Or even the next new member of the D. Clan, teased in the most subtle way.

But no matter what it is… One Piece has officially entered uncharted territory.

The mysteries of the Void Century, the truth about Imu, the identity of Lily, and the purpose of the D. Clan  they Are all converging right now.
