Jay-Jay and her chaotic classmates are all set to return in Ang Mutya ng Section E Season 2, which will follow the second book titled “The Dark Side.” Fans were shocked (in the best way!) when Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga themselves confirmed the news during a recent fan meet. A Quick Recap To Season 1
The series first premiered on Viva One in January 2025, introducing us to Jasper Jean Mariano — or Jay-Jay — played by Ashtine Olviga. Jay was just hoping for a fresh start when she transferred to Higher International Value School (HVIS). But life clearly had other plans.
Jay got placed in Section E, a class notorious for mischievous, rowdy boys — and yes, she’s the ONLY girl there. But instead of being overwhelmed, she slowly transformed into the “mutya” (jewel) of the section. Soon enough, she found herself in a complicated love triangle with Keifer and Yuri.
Even though Jay fell in love with Keifer, she was unexpectedly forced into an arranged engagement with Yuri because her aunt and cousin needed to save their collapsing company. Still, Jay and Keif confessed their feelings — and the season ended with an emotionally charged kiss that had fans screaming!
Ang Mutya ng Section E Season 2 Release Date
Time to mark down your calendars as the Season 2 – The Darkside, will mark it’s entry on November 21, 2025, exclusively on Viva One. The announcement was made during the Vivarkada event in the Philippines, where fans got to meet stars from other hit Viva One shows too.
Just like Season 1, the new season will be streaming on Viva One. International fans can expect English-subbed episodes on platforms like YouTube or Dailymotion. Of course, if you want faster access, you can also download the Viva One app and subscribe directly via the Google Play Store.
