When that specific offer was offered, and I considered how it would further the main story, explore more of its world, or even skip over centuries entirely, I figured if it was on the same line, then it was going to be able to open doors to the possibility of having a tremendous amount of other projects.
That is, Akutami was keen on maintaining creative freedom and ensuring that any spin-off would be serving the story and not as a cash-in. Mojuro is not just a spin-off—it’s being framed as a direct sequel within the JJK universe.
The Shocking Twist
One of the most shocking leaks from Myamura is that aliens are going to become a part of Jujutsu Kaisen’s sorcerer world. JJK universe already has cursed energy and psychological horror.
